MV Agusta Motorcycles - F4 Tamburini

BODY

The bodywork of the F4-TAMBURINI, including the front fender, front fairing, side panels, airbox, belly pan, and tail section, are carbon fiber.
The fuel tank is painted metal.
The air inlet ducts are made of carbon fiber.
Other trim pieces, including the lower radiator guard, ignition switch surround, wire harness covers, airbox covers, upper- and lower- chain guards, and rear fender are also made of carbon fiber.
Vent openings in the fairings are finished with gold mesh screens.
The seat and back pad are covered in Alcantara and embroidered with the F4 logo.
The distinctive F4-TAMBURINI paint scheme is a blend of gloss red, black, and gold paint and clear coated natural surface carbon fiber.

CHASSIS

The chassis features extensive use of magnesium, including the swingarm, frame side plates, and lower triple clamp.
An 18k gold plaque engraved with each individual unit's production number (### of 300) is affixed to the upper triple clamp.
The 50mm Marzocchi front forks feature low-friction titanium nitride coated sliders and billet alloy axle carriers.
The monotube rear shock absorber has been designed by Formula 1 suspension specialist Sachs Racing, and features high-speed and low-speed adjustments for both compression and rebound damping.
Spring preload on the rear shock absorber is hydraulically adjustable.
The ten-spoke Marchesini wheels are forged from aluminum.
The front brake calipers are created by Nissin of gold anodized billet alloy and are a six-piston design with differential bore diameters for optimum performance. (These are the same calipers as those installed on the F4-AGO.)
Adjustable footpeg brackets with billet alloy footpegs are standard.

ENGINE

The Formula 1 derived Torque Shift System (TSS) is fitted to the throttle bodies.
The TSS features variable length velocity stacks to optimize the intake runner length based on engine RPM, increasing available horsepower and torque throughout the RPM range.
The engine of the F4-TAMBURINI features a new cylinder head design with hand-polished intake and exhaust ports.
The engine also features new camshafts with revised cam profiles and altered cam timing.
Like the F4-1000 S, the F4-TAMBURINI features the Engine Brake System (EBS) to control engine torque under deceleration, eliminating the need for a slipper-type clutch.
Internal gearbox ratios are identical to those found on the F4-1000 S.
The standard exhaust system consists of stainless steel manifolds, midpipe, and silencers.
An MV Agusta Corse racetrack-use-only performance exhaust kit (consisting of stainless steel RG3 silencers, a titanium midpipe, and revised EPROM) is included with each motorcycle.
Compared to a standard F4-1000 S, the peak torque rating increases from 80.3 ft.-lbs. @ 10,200 RPM to 83.3 ft.-lbs. @ 9,200 RPM when measured at the crankshaft. (Note that the peak torque arrives 1,000 RPM lower with the TSS fitted.)
Compared to a standard F4-1000 S, the peak horsepower rating increases from 167.6 HP @ 11,750 RPM to 170.3 HP @ 11,750 RPM when measured at the crankshaft.
